What's Up BMC,
As was discussed and I share during the May 2024 meeting, our social for the month of July will be at The Voices Studio.
This is a special gathering just for this month! During the time I will briefly share about my documentary “Black Life On The Upper Mississippi River”. At the same time, with your permission I would love to hear your story as a black man living in Dubuque, Iowa.
I will be again, with your permission videotaping each of you and your story and in turn I hope to use it, with your permission in the documentary.
This is to show the great black men we have in Dubuque and who the BMC are as individuals and a organization. In the coming days
I will forward the questions I will be asking of each of you and other detail.
There will be free hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar during the social. So, I need a count of how many will be coming to the event.
I can’t express how important I believe this will be to the black community and the community as a whole here in Dubuque.

We have all been in our heads.

I had the honor and privilege of teaching these 15 young people a short class on 3D Animation, as usual, what a success. This is my second year and I have already asked Krista Walsh Weitz of Northeast Iowa Community College (NICC) to add me for next year. I really want to encourage everyone to invest in others around you, especially our young people. They truly are the future.
