When I sent a copy of Building Redemptive Community to a friend recently, I wrote in the note that this message has been a calling God placed on my heart many years ago.

That’s true in more ways than I can fully explain.

Over time, I’ve become increasingly convinced that God cares deeply about the places where we live, work, worship, and gather, and that restoring community is not someone else’s assignment. It belongs to all of us.

This book is simply an attempt to share some of what I’ve learned, experienced, and wrestled through over the years while pursuing that vision alongside many incredible people.

I’m grateful for everyone who has encouraged the message, engaged in the conversation, or chosen to read the book. My prayer is that it sparks hope and inspires others to build redemptive community in their own corner of the world.

What if the renewal we hope to see around us begins with what God is doing within us? That’s the conversation behind Building Redemptive Community, and the heart behind the work we’re pursuing every day.

Last week, our Nehemiah Development Company, Inc. team had the privilege of gathering at Quarry View Building Group for our second Building Redemptive Community Conference.

We were deeply encouraged to meet and spend time with so many like-minded business owners and professionals from the Lancaster area who are faithfully serving, leading, and building with purpose in their communities. Throughout the day, we shared stories, ideas, challenges, and a common belief that God cares deeply about the restoration of our cities, businesses, relationships, and neighborhoods.

One of the most meaningful parts of the day was seeing how God is already building redemptive community through thriving businesses and faithful people across Lancaster County. We left grateful for the conversations, connections, and shared vision that emerged around the room.

A sincere thank you to Quarry View Building Group for hosting us so generously and helping create such a welcoming environment for these conversations.

We look forward to continuing the relationships that began last week and facilitating more conversations around how reclaiming the believer’s true purpose can spark hope, restoration, and renewal right where we live and work.

Brick by brick.

We’re so looking forward to hosting our second Building Redemptive Community Conference next Wednesday at Quarry View Building Group in Lancaster County.

There’s something special about gathering with like-minded professionals who share a desire to see communities flourish, not just economically, but physically, relationally, and spiritually.

This morning is an opportunity to connect, to learn, and to be encouraged alongside others who are thinking deeply about the role we each play in the places we’ve been called to.

Excited for what’s ahead.
