KT tape can help your horse in several different ways:⁣

✅ help stabilize weak areas⁣
✅ decrease swelling⁣
✅ increase proprioception⁣
✅ help speed up healing⁣
⁣
Ivy is modeling some face tape to help with her allergies. This tape is helping increase her airflow while also helping her sinuses drain. ⁣

Sam is modeling taping for back and SI pain secondary to a cellulitis flare. ⁣
⁣

𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐓𝐢𝐩: Spring Means Grazing Muzzle Season
While it might only be March, the grass is turning green and Spring is almost here. As much as our horses love the lush green grass, it's important to remember their health and well-being which means your horse may need a grazing muzzle.
Why does your horse need a grazing muzzle this spring?
🥕𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐳𝐢𝐧𝐠: Spring grass tends to be rich in sugars and can lead to weight gain and even health issues like laminitis in horses prone to metabolic issues. A grazing muzzle helps to limit the intake of grass, providing controlled grazing.
🥕 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: Just like us, horses can overindulge when the grass is plentiful. A grazing muzzle helps prevent them from overeating, maintaining a healthy weight and preventing digestive upset.
🥕𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬: Horses with conditions like insulin resistance, Equine Metabolic Syndrome, or Cushing's disease benefit greatly from restricted access to grass. The grazing muzzle helps manage these conditions by controlling their intake of sugars.
🥕𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡: Overgrazing can damage pasture, leading to soil erosion and poor grass quality. Using a grazing muzzle helps preserve pasture health by controlling the amount of grass consumed.

Meet Dory! Dory is a 26 year old mare that we’ve had the pleasure of helping for the last year. Dory has reoccurring eye ulcers (hence her super cool goggles) and some stiffness that we’ve been helping her with during her chiropractic and acupuncture sessions. Dory soaks up her spa time and will fall asleep during her acupuncture 💙
