In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, I am excited to announce that I will be representing Dublin, Ohio as Miss Emerald City USA in the Miss Ohio USA pageant!

This will be my 2nd time competing in the Miss Ohio USA pageant, as well as pageants in general.

St. Patty’s is kinda a big deal here in Dublin, so today was the perfect day to share the news! I may not be Irish, but the love for Dublin is strong. I am so excited to represent my city again! A Dublinite for life! ✊🏽

Stay tuned for all things pageantry and to see what I stand for/ why I am competing!

Wishing you all a whole lota luck today in whatever your aspirations may be! 🍀🌈🙏🏽🧿

Growing up I never saw someone I could truly relate to.

The Indians/Desis/South Asians? I was always taller and larger than they were. Many of them (at least the ones around me) were extremely studious (stereotype I know, but it was true at the time) which I couldn’t relate to. Also some had recently moved from India and I was born in the US. To name a few.

The white people? They didn’t really understand my culture or what I packed for lunch. Plus I was much darker than them. To name a few.

I couldn’t completely relate to my parents because they didn’t grow up in the US. I am first generation as well as the oldest sibling and cousin.

So, essentially I had no one to relate to.

After suppressing my interests for so long (thinking my parents may not allow, but didn’t want to ask) I had towards modeling/acting and pageant, I finally took the leap and have now been modeling for 8+ years & pageantry for a year. I wish I started much sooner but I am glad to be able to say that I did it. Still to this day I occasionally feel imposter syndrome. Especially when I first started out, because I didn’t see someone like me doing it. I questioned myself, ‘Should be doing this?’ ‘Am I good enough to be doing this?’

It took me a long time to realize that I didn’t have to see someone like me. It means I am unique and that is my power. I can do what is not expected of me. I have the opportunity to inspire other women to pursue their passions. I get to be the person young girls/women can look up to and see representation. I get to show that you don’t have to fit into a box. I can wear a lengha or a bikini. I can do both. I can do it all. Now I have dedicated myself to shattering stereotypes, instilling confidence & empowering others as my brand.

So this is what I have to say: Get involved. Say yes to opportunity. Challenge yourself. Forget the norms. Do what you love. Never give up on your dreams. Don’t worry what others will say. Forget imposter syndrome. Who cares if you’re the first one who looks like you to do it. Embrace all that is you. At the end, it’s your life & it’s just that YOURS. But remember, you are one of a kind.

Happy International Women’s Day! 👭🏽♥️

I wanted to share the COVID safety ad I was apart of for City of Columbus + the Spread Love, not COVID campaign!

It specifically highlights staying safe during the current holiday season with family + a little humor. I hope you all are being cautious, aware, & remaining as safe as possible when visiting others + opting for virtual get-togethers on Zoom when possible!

This ad is currently airing on YouTube, Hulu, & Local TV channels, etc. If you see it tag me or let me know! Loving all the messages from those who saw me & reached out 🥰 It means a lot. Thankful for this opportunity to represent my city and make a meaningful impact 🙏🏽

Happy Deepavali/Diwali!! 🪔✨💗

This is a time to reflect, count our blessings and be grateful for what we have despite the challenging year we have all endured globally. The bad times don’t last and I know good things are in store for us and will soon illuminate.

🙏🏽 Light will always cancel out darkness.
🙏🏽 Good will always triumph evil.
🙏🏽Knowledge will always shatter ignorance.

I wholeheartedly wish all of you happiness, health, peace, success not only through the remaining 1.5 months of this year, but in your life as a whole.

We are in this together.

WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY! 🧠💗

Remember if you were supposed to be like someone else, then you wouldn’t exist. Because everyone is unique in their own way. Yes we have all similarities and differences, but there is NO ONE who is going to be exactly like you and that’s what makes you unique. That’s your SUPERPOWER. It took me so long to realize it.

Many of us don’t see that while growing up. I always felt out of place because I looked different. I didn’t really fit with the Indian/Asian crowd nor did I with white and/or Americans. I was taller and darker than the other girls. I’m STILL taller now at 5’11. I have large, veiny hands and wear a size 12 shoe. I have long limbs and thick eyebrows. I have thick, frizzy hair. I don’t have the ‘cute petite’ look. I have a deep voice. I felt like I towered over my peers. I will forever be mistaken for a man over the phone. I didn’t feel very ‘feminine’. These all internally impacted me. I never saw someone like me. I still haven’t it. But I know they exist somewhere out there and that I need to stand up for them. This is why I do what I do. This is why I became a model, joined pageantry, got into fitness, started content creating, worked for a Bumble, and took up numerous leadership roles. All to do what I’ve been best at all along...STANDING OUT.

I encourage you all to do the same, but before you do make sure you take care of yourself FIRST. Your mind and your body always come first. If you’re not in the best place, you will not be able to properly help someone else.

If you are struggling, please feel free reach out. I’m not a medical professional but I can offer assistance, share what has helped me and direct you towards resources that can better assist you. Our minds are powerhouses that have a million functions & responsibilities. You’re not alone & You are enough.

It’s true...I was a dancer before TikTok existed 😉😉😉
