Alameda County Fire Department Administration Offices will be closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in observance of Juneteenth.
Normal business operations will resume the following business day.
Emergency response services will continue to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) was proud to participate in Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s (LBNL) Safety Fair on July 12, 2026, and a Lunch & Learn on June 16, 2026—connecting with staff and sharing important safety information.
Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to emergency preparedness, engaging personnel through CPR training, wildfire response strategies, and evacuation pre-planning.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by our pop-up to learn more about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and how to stay ready. We appreciate the opportunity to partner in building a safer, more resilient community!

🚒🔥On June 17, 2026, at 10:38 a.m., the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) responded to a structure fire in the 17000 block of Via Arriba in San Lorenzo.
Approximately 22 ACFD personnel responded to the incident. The fire originated in the backyard and extended to the rear of the home.
All occupants safely evacuated, and no injuries have been reported.
Two adults, four children, and two animals were displaced as a result of the fire. The American Red Cross was called in to assist the family.
Station 25 June Update đźš§
The Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) is pleased to share that utilities are now being placed underground at the future site of Station 25 in Castro Valley.
This important step helps prepare the site for the foundation phase as construction continues. 🏗️

This state-of-the-art facility has been two and a half years in the making and marks an exciting milestone for our department and the community we serve.

đźš’On June 13, 2026, the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) responded to a structure fire in the 800 block of Whipple Road in Union City.
🔥Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke and fire from all sides of an abandoned building, with flames extending through the roof.
Battalion 7 established Incident Command, and crews immediately initiated defensive operations as a significant portion of the roof had already collapsed.
Once the fire was brought under control, Rescue 24 conducted a primary search of accessible areas. No injuries were reported.
đźš’ Engine 35 Visits Emeryville City Hall
On Wednesday, June 10, 2026, Alameda County Fire Department Engine 35 visited Emeryville City Hall for a special show and tell during Emeryville’s Monthly Manager’s Meeting.
Division Chief Randall West shared a brief overview of ACFDs history, while crews highlighted the tools, gear, and equipment they use to respond to emergencies and help keep the community safe. 🧑‍🚒

Congratulations to Deputy Chief Paige Bowie
We are proud to announce the promotion of Division Chief Paige Bowie to the rank of Deputy Chief of Fire and Life Safety.
Deputy Chief Bowie is a highly respected leader in the fire service, bringing more than 21 years of dedicated service to public safety.
She also served on the Local 55 executive board.
Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a commitment to training, technical rescue, and serving the community.
Her progression through the ranks reflects both her expertise and leadership.
In addition to her operational leadership, Deputy Chief Bowie serves as the liaison to the City of San Leandro and oversees the San Leandro Alternative Response Unit (ARU) Program.
