1983 Willow Springs Triple Crown Championship, Round-2; My Ducati 250 tied up a piston in last pracetice, was over 100F! No time to change, I thought so, Fred said "Ride my Aremacchi". OK! Now I have to start LAST because I changed bikes. 500 up front, 350s, then 250, Fredd said; "dont take it past 10,000" 🙂
End of lap 1 Fred is leading overall on his 350 Ducati and PASSed HIM coming into Turn-1 and never saw him again!

Seems like yesterday we;d be getting bikes ready for DAYTONA. One Sunday we were watching DAYTONA 500 when the Miller Buick went and tore down the main straight fencing and forced race to stop! We waited for restatrt, but George called and said "If ya want those pistons cut come now!" So we loaded the 350 in my van and hauled ass to George Newells house in Alameda to cut pistons. And we WON again! I won 2 races that day. Thanks GEORGE!
