As other Texas Breweries try to navigate the up and down situation over patio use, we’re grateful the patio down at Austin Java is wide open and we are still able to pour beers to enjoy there or to go. We’ve got seven beers brewed on-site. Get out there this weekend and stock up on local beer and support local business! Thank you!

Not a lot of brewers get to say that their family harvested the grains they’re about to brew with. Working on Kinfolk — our German-style Kölsch today. It’s a good day to be a brewer. Cheers to Maverick Malt House!

The economic and public health crisis brought on by and ’s June 26th shutdown of “51% establishments” threaten to decimate the Texas craft brewing industry.

Our latest survey of Texas Craft Brewers Guild members found that ONE IN THREE Texas craft breweries believe they will have to permanently close in LESS THAN THREE MONTHS without some change to the current shutdown order or new economic relief options. TWO IN THREE believe they will not make it to the END OF THE YEAR under current conditions.

Texans, if you want your local breweries to still be in business on the other side of this second shutdown, please continue to vote with your dollar and buy local, small, and independent beer. In 2019, we fought for . Now, it's the only thing keeping many small breweries afloat.

The boys up at Maverick Malt House brought us something real special! This fine barley was cut by Rea Custom Harvesting crew, which is our Head Brewer Cody’s family operation up in the Texas Panhandle.

We’re pretty excited to create a beer that truly embodies not only the farm-to-table movement — but also keeps it all in the family — hence the beer name. We’ll be brewing Kinfolk (Kölsch) solely with Maverick Malt. It’s awesome to be able to share this with y’all in a pint glass.

Thanks to Corey and Blaze for growing and malting this barley and getting it to our brewery.
