Did you know that there are multiple benefits to going outside? It can help our children boost their immune system, reduce stress and anxiety, help regulate sleep, boost mood, and burn that energy they need to burn.

It is a myth that going outside in the cold can make you sick. It is actually going to improve our chances of staying healthy! This is why we LOVE to go outside in all types of weather at CCDC. We really value the privilege of being able to go outside more than once a day. We know that if you have the proper clothing you can go outside in a lot of different types of weather. Hence those adorable Muddy Buddy pictures you are going to start to see if you haven’t seen some already.

As we enter into the colder months we want to encourage you to get outside with your kids! Bundle them up with socks, hats, gloves, and boots and have some fun. It is not only going to benefit your child and their health but yours too! And how awesome is that!

One of our favorite things that happens weekly here at CCDC is Fruity Friday in our preschool department! Every Friday a family signs up to provide fresh fruit as a snack for the whole class. It has become a fun way to involve the students in snack time. It is always exciting when we get to thank our friend for bringing in a snack for the whole class to share. It has also become a fun way to try new fruits that the children may have never tried before AND a fun topic of conversation to ask your child what fruit they got to try that day!
