Today our food waste turns into compost. Thanks to our PTO initiative, approximately 26,000 lbs of waste now becomes recycled into soil. “Food waste rotting in landfills produces methane, making landfills the third-largest source of methane emissions,. In the U.S. alone, food waste creates greenhouse gases equivalent to 42 coal-fired power plants.”
We put STEM and IB in action. We don’t just talk the talk, we walk the walk.
I love our school, making the world a better place one project at a time.

💗 STEM in action 💗
Miss Julie’s kindergarten scientists are learning how their hearts pump blood through their bodies, with the most adorable demo ever.
A paper heart + a marshmallow + a toothpick = a tiny model that bounces right along with their own heartbeat when placed on a vein. Science you can feel, literally.
Curiosity, wonder, and a whole lot of “whoa I can see it,” all in one lesson 🧠❤️
Being caring means noticing others, offering help, and choosing kindness in everyday moments.
In this short, you’ll see how students show empathy, respect, and compassion for one another, building a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported.
