Down Syndrome Awareness month at its best — last year Elle felt privileged to be a peer tutor in her middle school. She made some incredible friends including her buddy Luke. Even though Elle has moved on to high school she couldn’t help but return for a visit to wish Luke a happy birthday and give him one of our Down Syndrome Awareness tees. While cruising Arches National Park with my family I met Wade. Because of my own daughter Jayne, my connection with people who have Down syndrome is unspoken and immediate—we are like family. When asked which of our primary logo snap backs he’d like, he asked for 2, a grey and white to wear and a black on black backup in case the fish weren’t biting.
