I watched a Youtube video where Ryan Smith, CEO of Qualtrics, interviewed . In this interview, David A. Bednar talked about education and curating an appetite for education and learning.🌟

One of the lessons that I took away from their conversation is that with an appetite for education, one can find the answer to any question or problem they have, simply by understanding how to research it and learn more.

How can we teach this "appetite for learning"? Help others by giving enough information that helps them get excited and ask the right questions, but not too much so as to give them the answer.💡

Labor day is a day to celebrate and honor workers, or "Laborers", that contribute to the well-being of our country.

The United States currently has the largest economy in the world with a GDP of over $25 Trillion.
As of 2023, there are over 33 Million total small businesses. (This equates to 99.9% of all businesses in the US.)
Small Businesses contributed 55% of all job creations during 2013 and 2023.

Cheers to the small business owner and a hoorah to employees of the small businesses! You guys all truly make this country run. (We like those of you that work for big companies and your jobs are important to, I just have a soft spot for the small business!)

In order to be successful, you have to be able to adapt, innovate, or change. I always think it is so interesting when a new business owner, who has created an intricate business plan gets so frustrated when that plan does not come to fruition.

I hate to say it, but after quite a few different businesses, not one has happened how we initially thought it would. And very rarely did a plan B or plan C happen either. You have to be flexible and stay on your toes!

That being said, if you are in a place where you like the results you are seeing, keep doing what you are doing! Refine the processes, procedures, and keep enjoying what you are doing!🚀💼

In business, we have tried to eliminate as much human error as possible. This has been quite the task for a service that requires so much of it! We have even gone so far as to create a different software company to solve a problem that we were experiencing!

All that to say that in your business, you should utilize software to help accomplish (accounting) tasks that you don't need to do. Some of the suggestions are even to help with organization so that if you got audited, you don't have to stress.

Utilizing software will surely save you time, money, and stress when dealing with the accounting in your business! 💼✨

If you go into business to make money, all you will encounter are problems. If you go into business to solve problems, you will make money.

Although money IS important, and there is no such thing as a successful business without it, there is so much more to it.

On July 4th, 1776, our founding fathers celebrated the unanimous adoption of the Declaration of Independence. This Declaration of Independence announced our separation from Great Britain.

Some of the reasons the original colonies wanted to separate from Great Britain include:

Taxation - What’s the point in paying high taxes when we didn’t have a say as to what they were paying for?
British Laws - Some British Laws were believed to violate their rights.
Citizen Treatment - Nobody wants to feel like a “second-class” citizen, do they?

On this Independence Day, may we all celebrate and remember the freedoms that were, have been, and continue to be won. Some of which, I’d argue, are slowly diminishing. (I can’t say I would agree that our current tax system is any better than it was under British rule in 1776… 😂) 🇺🇸

One night at dinner, and I wrote a list of all the places we had been. I am grateful for her travel bug because it has pushed us to see so many incredible places and experience so many awesome places and cultures, just the two of us and with our family. Truth be told, I am content just hanging out at home.

Here's to looking back at all of the wonderful places we have been together, and many more destinations to come! 🥂

Every day my alarm is set to go of at 5 am. I like to get my day going and head to the gym 4 or 5 days of the week. Last week, my alarm went off on Friday morning and the bed was feeling really good! 😂

I could have stayed in bed and slept another hour and a half, but I decided to get out of bed and get to the gym. That set the tone for the rest of the day and allowed me to be productive.

It might not always be the gym. It might be an investment, going back to school, starting a business with the idea you have had for a while, talking to someone and resolving an issue. Whatever it is, once you decide to take action, you have already made the hardest choice. 💪✨

Sometimes all we have to do is just "jump". It can be scary but there is little to no growth when things are comfortable. 🌟🚀

About 4 years ago I had a great job. It supported my family and allowed us to do what we wanted to do. I had some growth potential within the company but deep down I knew that it was keeping me from something else. It took a lot, but with the support of my family I took a leap and it has paid off tremendously! We have built a multi-seven figure accounting firm, co-founded a software company that is worth over $20 Million, and been able to experience so many awesome adventures as a family!

None of that would have been possible if I hadn't let go of what was good, with an aspiration to achieve something greater.

Long is the road of entrepreneurship. Faced often lots of ups, downs, twists, and turns. 🚀💼 It is a journey that has knocked me down more than once but I feel good saying that it also brought me some of my life's greatest experiences. (Second to that of my family!)💪✨

What is one thing that has helped? Keeping my head up. Just keep swimming. You can do it! Whatever you have to tell yourself, I know you can do it. It is much easier to do with a good attitude and positive outlook, even things seem to be going wrong.
