Getting a job is one thing. Growing in that job with the right support is another. 💼

Gabe is a wonderful example of that! He works at Five Below, and our Employment Supports team has been there with him, providing on-the-job coaching, training, and encouragement along the way.

For Gabe, that support has helped him go from greeting customers, sweeping, and taking out the trash to unpacking shipments, restocking merchandise, and asking his managers what else he can learn. 🙌

Gabe's job coach, Tim, has this to say: "Since joining TNS, we’ve seen so much growth and confidence from Gabe in his position at Five Below! You can feel his excitement and joy when he’s at work, and week by week, his confidence continues to grow, along with his responsibilities. With his supportive coworkers around him and the added support of his job coaches, Gabe has taken ownership of restocking and continues to challenge himself to put away more and more each shift. It’s been awesome to watch Gabe grow in his role and see how proud he is of the work he’s doing!"

Recently, our Explore groups lent a hand getting Rep. Tim Brennan’s Senior Fair ready for the community! 💜

Connor, Lucas, and Nate volunteered with their Direct Support Professional, Tyler. Later in the day, Nicole, Julia, and Kathryn wrapped up tasks with their DSP, Erin.

It was a great opportunity for our participants to help out, give back, and play a part in an event supporting the community. 🤝

Liz certainly know how to accomplish a lot in a few hours! 🏃‍♀️

During her time on In-Home & Community Supports, with the help of Direct Support Professional, Gabe, Liz had herself a filled and productive afternoon! She was able to:

🦴 Make a batch of her homemade dog treats.
🏦 Deposit some money at the back.
🍔 Grab a delicious lunch out.
🧹 Give her room a nice cleanin’.

And she still had time to hang out with the dogs. 🐶

Digital Marketing Associate Abby was here, there, and everywhere this past weekend! ⭐

🍋 Abby volunteered her time at A Night in Tuscany on Friday evening, a fundraising event hosted by The Next Step Programs and The Next Step Housing Corporation to raise funds for inclusive housing projects like Adam’s Way PA! She assisted the team with event logistics and the live ask auction, and truly rocked it.

🏃‍♀️ The next morning, Abby attended the Autism Cares Foundation Race 4 Resources event at Bucks County Community College, representing The Next Step Programs with team member Sabrina. They spent the morning during the races to educate attendees on who we are and the services we provide.

Last night, The Next Step Programs and The Next Step Housing Corporation hosted A Night in Tuscany, an event raising funds for inclusive housing projects like Adam’s Way PA.

With over 150 community attendees and sponsors, A Night in Tuscany raised over $170,000! We are absolutely blown away by the support we received.

It was an evening full of class and incredible conversations regarding the future of new housing initiatives for people with and without disabilities.
