Older homes come with original woodwork, trim, and flooring which means PH NEUTRAL or oil based products. Floors should be cleaned with minimal moisture to prevent warping or dulling. When maintained properly with the right products and techniques, the original character and beauty of older homes can be preserved while still achieving a deep, healthy clean. I’m slacking on my before pictures- but I love how these floors looked when done!

Wiping high-touch areas on kitchen cabinets is one of the most important — and most overlooked — parts of maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen. Cabinet handles, k***s, edges of doors, and the areas just above pulls are constantly touched throughout the day, often with hands that have handled raw meat, produce, grease, or trash. Over time, these surfaces collect bacteria, food residue, oils from skin, and airborne cooking particles that aren’t always visible to the eye.

This kitchen was honestly beautiful before I even touched it! The client expressed how her dark cabinets weren’t forgiving when it comes to fingerprints and splashes. Thank you, Claire, for trusting me with your beautiful home!😍

The Bottom of Dish Drying Racks and Drain Boards!!
Dish racks and drain boards appear clean from the top, but moisture, soap residue, and food particles often collect underneath. The base of the rack and the area beneath it can harbor bacteria and develop odors if not cleaned regularly. Addressing these hidden moisture-prone areas is essential for maintaining proper kitchen hygiene and preventing long-term buildup. 🧼🫧🤍

Electric stove tops should be cleaned regularly to prevent buildup that can cause odors, smoke, and reduced heating efficiency. Always allow the surface to cool completely before cleaning. For glass or ceramic cooktops, use a non-abrasive cleaner specifically designed for stove tops and a soft microfiber cloth or sponge to avoid scratching. Burnt-on residue can be loosened with a cooktop scraper held at a slight angle, followed by a gentle polish to restore shine. For coil burner models, remove the coils (if detachable) and wipe beneath them, avoiding excess water near electrical connections. Harsh scrubbers, steel wool, and excessive liquid should be avoided, as they can damage the surface or internal components. Routine maintenance not only improves appearance but also extends the lifespan and performance of the appliance.🧼🫧🤍
