Another opportunity for that enhance the quality of life of children, young adults, and families in . Our Bucks Innovation & Improvement and Capital Improvement Grant cycles are now open! Eligible should submit their Letter of Inquiry by October 1 at 11:59 p.m.

Annually, these grant cycles offer nearly $400,000 in support for innovative programs and services as well as structural facility improvements and technology upgrades that will have a positive impact on Bucks County’s children, young adults, and families.

Last week, we celebrated our 13 interns and graduate supervisor as we concluded our annual program. Students participating in use both academic and social skills to address human needs and solve problems in the real world. They are “matched” with select serving Bucks County for a 10-week, paid internship with the opportunity to earn college credits. Since 2008, 241 college students completed the program contributing 69,408 service hours to serving .

Annually, our Partnership in Education Program recognizes the achievements of public, technical, and charter high school seniors for their demonstrated community service, commitment to academic excellence, and quality of character with a $1,000 scholarship. In addition, each scholarship recipient has the opportunity to apply to our 10-week program after enrolling in college. Three of our scholarship recipients ended up participating in the 2026 cohort: Andreas Quattrocchi, Ariana Alvarez, and Caylee Hansel.

to award a Bucks Innovation and Improvement to Mitzvah Circle to meet rising community demand for necessities, including clothing, diapers, menstrual products, and toiletries. Every day, families in our communities face poverty, homelessness, serious illness, and unexpected hardships. When a crisis hits, the ensures that parents can work, children can go to school, and no one has to choose between food and hygiene.

Week 9 of the program featured a presentation about the United Way of Bucks County's ALICE program and a visit to One House at a Time to tour the new warehouse and help with its "Beds for Kids" program for our 13 interns last week.

Since 2008, 228 college students have completed the program contributing 65,664 service hours to nonprofits serving Bucks County.

On National Intern Day, we are of all 241 interns who have shared their skills with the community in through our program. Collectively, these interns participated in service learning at 42 nonprofits, contributing nearly 70,000 service hours. Thank you for all you have done for your community.
