I’m extremely honored to play a very small part in Doug Ellis’s (and family) upcoming challenge. Out of tragedy, the Doug Ellis family formed The River Ellis Foundation, with the mission of “Giving a Sunrise” to those in need. To that end, has participated in numerous endurance events to raise money for the foundation. His latest challenge involves the self-supported completion of 7 iron distance triathlons in 7 days. Due to some ongoing back issues, Doug decided against riding his triathlon bike. Doug needed a comfortable, lightweight, aero road bike and we settled on the Krypton Pro. I fitted the bike with clip-on aerobars to give Doug a usable aero position and provided a BTA bottle setup for additional hydration. Doug will also have 2 bottle cages behind the saddle. Additionally, the Krypton Pro has internal frame storage and top tube bosses where I mounted a custom fitted bento box. Providing even more storage/hydration options, there’s a cage mount on the underside of the downtube for an additional bottle or storage pod.
