Tile played a major role in some of our favorite projects this year, and the variety says a lot about where design is heading.

Across kitchens and bathrooms, we saw clients lean into finishes with more depth, texture, and personality. Glossy handcrafted-look tiles brought subtle movement to backsplashes and showers, while deep greens and charcoal tones created richer, moodier moments. Geometric and patterned selections added visual interest, and marble-look surfaces continued to bring a timeless, elevated feel.

We also saw faux-wood tile show up in multiple projects, giving clients the warmth and organic character of wood with the durability and practicality of tile. From more natural grain patterns to linear applications that add texture, it’s a great example of how materials can balance style with everyday function.

One of the biggest takeaways from this year is that tile is being treated less like a background material and more like part of the overall design story. Color, texture, pattern, and finish are all being used to make each space feel more personal while still keeping the home cohesive.

A lighter, brighter hall bath and a powder room that isn’t afraid to make a statement. This Yardley remodel gave two everyday spaces completely different personalities while making each one feel more considered.⁠

In the hall bath, we refreshed the existing footprint with a new tub and tiled surround, added a recessed niche for practical storage, and introduced a warm wood vanity to bring depth to the lighter finishes. Dark hardware and a patterned mosaic floor add contrast without overwhelming the space.⁠

Just dowstairs, the powder room went bold with dramatic floral wallpaper, a dark arched mirror, and a clean pedestal sink. The result feels unexpected, elevated, and perfectly suited to a smaller room where a little drama can go a long way.⁠

Happy Birthday to the guy who’s quickly become one of the most recognizable faces of LBK! 🎉

Whether he’s sitting down for a podcast, jumping in front of the camera, meeting with clients, or representing LBK out in the community, Mike is always willing to show up and be part of it. And today is no exception. He’s spending his birthday representing the LBK team at the Lower Gwynedd Fall Fest!

Mike brings a genuine commitment to our team, our clients, and his family. Since joining LBK, he’s made it a point to get involved in just about every corner of the company, always willing to lend a hand, participate in something new, or simply be there to support the rest of the team. He’s constantly learning, adapting, and finding ways to grow into his role so he can better serve the people around him.

And, of course, Mike brings plenty of personality along with him. His energy, quick wit, and ability to make just about anyone laugh have become a big part of our day-to-day at LBK. Whether he’s cracking a joke in the office, keeping things entertaining during a filming day, or bringing his enthusiasm to an event, Mike has a way of making things a little more fun wherever he goes.

We’re incredibly grateful for the commitment, energy, and humor you bring to the team, Mike. Thank you for everything you do for LBK and for the people around you. We appreciate you and hope you have a fantastic birthday!

From the very beginning, Liz has felt like a natural part of the LBK team.

She joined us and immediately found her place, not just in her role, but within the team as a whole. It didn’t take long for it to feel like she had been here far longer than she actually had, and that says so much about the person she is and the energy she brings to LBK every day.

As our Office Administrative Assistant, Liz is someone everyone can count on. Whether she’s helping a client, supporting a team member, keeping things moving behind the scenes, or stepping in wherever she’s needed, she consistently goes above and beyond. She approaches everything with kindness and professionalism, while bringing a sense of humor and personality that makes her such a joy to work alongside.

Liz has truly been the perfect addition to our team, and we couldn’t be happier to have her here. She cares about the people around her, takes pride in what she does, and has quickly become an important part of the day-to-day at LBK.

A smaller bathroom doesn’t mean you have to think small when it comes to design.⁠

For this Horsham primary bath, we looked at every inch of the existing footprint to find opportunities to make the room work harder. The original layout included a compact shower, double vanity, and areas that weren’t being used to their full potential. By reworking the plan, we were able to create a more open, functional layout without needing to dramatically expand the space.⁠
⁠
The new design introduces a larger angled shower with a built-in bench and niche, a streamlined vanity with a wall-mounted faucet, and a tall linen cabinet that adds valuable storage without overwhelming the room. Keeping the existing window brings in natural light, while the updated finishes and glass shower enclosure help the entire bathroom feel brighter and more spacious.⁠
