Kristin was born and raised in Doylestown, so securing an internship in her hometown was the ideal situation. Jerry taught Kristin about retail, merchandising, buying and customer service. Jerry also shared wise advice and life's lessons with Kristin. Before long Jerry took Kristin to New York City on a buying trip. By 2010 Kristin was managing the store as well as handling most of the buying. Kristin’s and Jerry’s professional relationship continued to grow, and as Kristin’s mentor, Jerry knew that owning her own boutique was Kristin’s dream. In 2016 Kristin’s dream came true when she purchased Something Else from Jerry. Kristin strives to carry a wide variety of merchandise popular for any age customer. She is proud of the fact that mothers and daughters are able to shop together and leave with something they both love. Kristin is on a first name basis with the majority of her “regular” customers. The merchandise at Something Else ranges from tops, bottoms, dresses, coats, denim, athleisure, shoes, hats, bags, prestige jewelry lines and accessories as well as her latest life style products. Kristin could not be more grateful for the years of mentoring Jerry provided and the freedom he gave her to build her own style. Kristin is also grateful for the encouragement and support she has received from her parents. Kristin's mother spends several days a week assisting Kristin at Something Else. Many customers know her father as the” flower man” as he often brings fresh flowers picked from their property to add a special touch to Something Else. Something Else is a close knit family and continues to grow and welcome new customers.
