​One of the biggest names in music gear and software, Native Instruments, has officially entered preliminary insolvency proceedings in Germany. 🎹💻

​What we know so far:

⚠️ The Scope: This includes the entire umbrella—NI, iZotope, Plugin Alliance, and Brainworx.

⚠️ The Reason: Reports point to massive debt accrued during years of acquisitions and private equity shifts rather than a lack of sales.

⚠️ What it means for YOU: Your plugins (Kontakt, Maschine, Traktor, etc.) are NOT shutting down today. The court has appointed an administrator to restructure the company or find a buyer for its assets.

​This could change the landscape of music production for years to come.
Whether Native Instruments is sold in pieces or finds a new "white knight" investor, the era of "Soundwide" as we knew it is likely over.
