BRAND FEATURES
I am a huge believer that if someone is going the extra mile to support women in our industry they should be shared so you can increase your options on what is out there!
Comment below any organization or brand that fits the call!
This is not huge companies or sponsored content this is just me sharing a cause I believe in what they’re doing.
I will only focus on a brand or organization a few times out of the year to continue making more space for other women who want to share their story.
You know I don’t do self recorded videos often so this is that important that I had to! I am excited to share our first brand feature soon!
BECOMING AN IRONWORKER
Christy shares her journey into the Ironworkers Union, the lessons she’s learned along the way, and what keeps her motivated to continue growing in the trade.
One of the most powerful parts of her story was that seeing another woman welding and realizing that path was possible for her too.
Representation matters and visibility matters. Sometimes all it takes is seeing someone who looks like you doing the job to spark a new possibility they hadn’t even considered.
That’s exactly why Build-Her.Org shares these stories!

BE YOURSELF
It can be tempting to keep your head down, stay under the radar, and simply do the work, but don’t lose yourself in the process.
Stay true to who you are. Hold on to your values, your personality, and the things that make you uniquely you.
Growth doesn’t require becoming someone else. Success doesn’t require shrinking yourself to fit in. The right opportunities, people, and places will value you for who you are, not who they expect you to be.
I had a great time hearing more about Christy’s story, stay tuned for her story feature!

YOU DO BELONG HERE!
Moments of inspiration and confidence come throughout our careers. Sometimes from seeing something that inspires us, learning about our trade or the history and backgrounds, or supportive comments along the way.
Check out a clip from my conversation with Christy on some of her moments when she had those moments that boosted confidence.
Mohawk ironworkers have shaped the skylines of North American cities for more than 100 years. Using a trade honed across generations, members of the Mohawk nation have traveled great lengths and scaled astonishing heights to build iconic bridges and buildings, earning the nickname “skywalkers.”(1)
Stay tuned for her Story Feature!

YOUR BOOTS
Keep them in the dirt, shake all the hands and talk with those who are doing something different than you.
They can take the woman out of the field, but they can’t take to field out of the woman. Some of us weren’t meant to be away from the action, for those that are constantly chasing challenges, leveling up their game, and keeping the world moving I see you and salute you 🫡🙌
If you are interested in sharing the path you took I nto construction, whether you’ve been doing this for a while or if you’re just starting out, send us a msg so we can capture your story! 🥾

ALL THE WAY FROM
I had the wonderful opportunity to hear from Ana about her story entering the trades.
Ana is proving that heart and compassion are essential in her story and throughout her work. As she is continuing her apprenticeship she shares that she continues to show up and make progress.

WHY YOUR IMPACT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
In my conversation with Ana, she talks about why visibility matters.
When people can see what’s possible, it changes everything.
A strong company culture doesn’t happen by accident. It’s built by the people who show up, speak up, and do the work.
Your presence shapes the experience for those around you and for the ones coming up next.
More of Ana’s story coming soon.
COMPASSION IS A STRENGTH
I had the opportunity to chat with Ana, a second-year welding apprentice heading into her third year.
Hearing Ana’s story and seeing where she is today, it’s clear that the compassion she carries for others shows up in the work she does too. That kind of strength is not something everyone brings with them.
Compassion takes patience, heart, and grace, and real strength is being able to carry that while wanting to see others succeed too.
Excited to share Ana’s full feature soon.
