Here’s a look at how 2020’s Housing Supply vs Demand is comparing to last year. In DuPage county alone we’ve experienced -14% fewer homes come up for sale through October, while demand for single family homes is up over 16% from 2019.
At this stage, it does not appear the tight inventory situation will change anytime soon.

Home buyers have 42% fewer options to choose from this October than in October 2019.

Seller’s in DuPage county are continuing to see purchase agreements close to the original list price. This is another strong indicator of buyer demand carrying over from the hot summer months.
