Another swan lake headpiece on its way.

Working on patterns for a special project for my daughter who is getting married in May. Not her wedding dress, but a copy of a vintage dress my mother made (Vogue couture design 1002), which she is hoping to wear as a reception dress. Drawing patterns is hard and not really my “ thing”, but it’s the only way to achieve what I want.
I am also working on a pretty sparkly pin to go on her veil. I finished her veil ( using some special Italian tulle my mother gave me before she passed away). All together there will be something old, new, borrowed and blue, for her special day.

Just sold this beauty. A few minor adjustments and off she goes to Texas. This costume is RTW and comes with headpieces which can be mixed and matched. Pattern and instructions for this costume by Good Karma, Matroska. Love Pamela’s patterns and clear instructions.

Making lots of white swan head pieces, all for Halloween. Still have several unfinished tutus to work on, but thankfully none are “ custom “. I can finish them in my time.

Was able to visit the local Spotlight and bought some beautiful tutu net, so new costumes will be in the works when I get back home from Sydney.

Happy 94th birthday to my mother-in-law. I also gave her a beautiful velvet flower from M&S Schmalberg which she loved.

If you would like to see a well done, entertaining ballet show, then I can recommend Etoile on Amazon Prime. It was written and directed by the Palladino's (Marvelous Mrs. Mazel) to give you an idea. I was delighted to find out that one of my costumes was purchased as a potential prop, and that I was able to supply them with other things that could be used in a costume shop (I watched all of season 1 but could not glimpse any footage made in the New York City costume shop) but the show is wonderful. The footage of the Paris opera studios, and a brief snippet in their costume shop was great.

I suppose my prices will seem more “ reasonable “ with a 104% tariffs on tutus. My prices include shipping and headpieces.
