We are all in this together.

This is not going to be a “restauranty” post!
I woke up this morning so thankful and grateful! Last night showed me that humanity and love always…always wins!
With so much going on in the world and the way division is creeping in, The Grey Fox Grille was a melting pot of people coming in to support another human being.
The city of Dover (and surrounding areas) and its citizens are amazing! I think sometimes the not so glamorous parts outshine what a beautiful place it is.
Dover business owners came through, teachers, lawyers, politicians, our staff volunteered their time! It was amazing!! Even an unhoused person who helps “watch” our buildings came in to support. How can you not tear up thinking about that!

So know this — you CAN make a difference. A room full of strangers proved it in the rain, with nothing to gain except the chance to help someone else.

We love our little street called State! Stop by here and Parke Green Galleries to meet two living icons! Tom has been a shopkeeper in Downtown Dover for 50 years and Taylor is the famous artist who has been painting over 40 years here and around . Eclectic and fun shops and open seven days a week! We have fun collectibles, art, souvenirs, and are a wealth of information on what to see and do on all of Delmarva.

Love this little slice of past Delaware life and some from neighboring PA. We still have an Amish community west of Dover and it seems not much has changed. Spring and fall are our favorite times to ride out as they often have the larger teams of horses out during planting and harvest season.

This has always been such a fun place to Plein air paint. My first experience was with Jack Lewis back in the 1980’s. I had never painted outside before and it was a surprise to learn the water color class I worked up for would mostly be done outside. I’ve painted this iconic historical ship several times. Next post is most recent one that is currently for sale in the gallery.
