🐷 **Local Contractor Recommendations Needed – Nonprofit Farm Project**

Hi friends!

Valentin Family Farm is a small **501(c)(3) animal rescue in Dover**, and we’re starting to gather **quotes for work on the property next to our farm** as we continue developing the space for animals and future community programming.

We are currently looking for **local companies or individuals** who can help with quotes for:

• Termite inspection
• Asbestos testing
• Mold inspection
• Tree trimming / clearing
• Asphalt millings or driveway material

If you **own a company, work in one of these trades, or know someone great**, we would love a recommendation!

Because we’re a nonprofit rescue, we are also grateful for any **nonprofit discounts, donated services, or reduced pricing** that companies may be willing to offer. We’re always happy to recognize and promote local businesses that support our mission.

Today was the day I started working on the plants that were damaged by the freeze a few weeks ago.
I had several visitors, most had four legs, one slithered aroud and spent a bit more time than I would have prefered, and my favorite red-head repeatedly checked on me and kept me hydrated.
I found another broody hen today…along with her hidden eggs. Mama and eggs are now back in the Chicken compound, in her own hatchling suite…
Maximus let himself out of the front door….and helped himself to three bags of trash that hadn’t made it into the trash bins.
I’m so grateful my body supported my goals today….🫶🏻💗💕🪏⚙️
In addition to resetting my flower beds, our dog-yard fence has been broken since Gracie (🐄) decided that our front porch was the best place for her to be.

✨ WELLNESS WEDNESDAY — From the Farm ✨

Around here, we make plans all the time — feed schedules, chores, repairs, training, you name it. And then… a piglet needs extra love, a gate breaks, a storm rolls in, or someone (usually someone with hooves or wings) decides today is not the day to cooperate.

Life flips our plans upside down on the farm just as easily as it does everywhere else.

So here’s this week’s reminder for anyone feeling a little tossed around:

💛 Let the detours teach you, not defeat you
💛 Protect your energy with a little restraint
💛 Lead with grace — for yourself and your people (and your animals)
