Apple Harvest Day returns to downtown Dover this fall! The Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce announced the 37th Annual Apple Harvest Day will be held on Saturday, October 2. Chief William Breault of the Dover Police Department would like to alert the public to numerous recent thefts that have occurred in the city. Since mid-May, the police department has responded to approximately thirty theft reports in multiple neighborhoods throughout Dover. Nearly all of these thefts involved unlocked vehicles or unsecured bicycles. The public is reminded to remain diligent about locking their doors and securing valuables as this is clearly the primary deterrent to theft.

The police department also encourages residents to register their bicycles with the City. This can be done free of charge at the police department. Each registration number can be linked directly to the owner making the return of found bicycles more efficient.

It is also requested that any suspicious activity be reported to police dispatch at (603) 742-4646.
