It's Make a Difference Monday! 💙
Nominate someone who you think could make a difference in the life of an abused and neglected child/children!
A nomination is not a commitment to volunteer. It is a way for us to have an opportunity for contact for someone who may be interested in learning more about being a CASA advocate.
Advocate Nomination CASA of the Highland Rim Stewart County is looking for people who are compassionate, caring, good listeners, good communicators, dependable, committed, and are passionate to see children succeed. CASA advocates are volunteers who do not have to have a background in law, social work, or child welfare...
What's Happening Wednesday 💙
This past weekend we had our 2nd annual Casting for Kids Bass Tournament 2026. It was a huge turnout! We just wanted to share a few clips of the events we had that day! Fishing, raffles, free fishing poles for kids! Looking forward to next year!

This weekend, I had the opportunity to help with the CASA – Casting for Kids BassTournament, and I wanted to take a moment to recognize everyone who made the event possible.
One of the things I enjoy most about living in our community is seeing people come together to support a good cause. This tournament was a great example of that. Anglers from across the area gave up part of their weekend to participate, volunteers worked behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly, sponsors stepped up to support the event, and community members came together for a common purpose.
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) is an organization that works to ensure abused and neglected children have a voice in the court system. CASA volunteers advocate for children who are navigating difficult situations and help ensure their best interests remain the focus throughout the process. Their work often happens quietly behind the scenes, but it can have a lasting impact on a child's future.
While the tournament itself was about fishing, the larger story was about neighbors helping neighbors. It was about people using their time, talents, and resources to support children and families who may be facing challenges. That spirit of service and community is something that makes Stewart County such a special place.
I want to thank the organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and every fisherman who participated in the tournament. Your support helps CASA continue its mission and demonstrates the generosity that exists throughout our community.
It was an honor to be a small part of the event, and I appreciate everyone who worked so hard to make it a success. When communities come together like this, it reminds us that some of the biggest differences are made not by any one person, but by people working together toward a common goal.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend a success.
