Colonel John Haslet Chapter - NSDAR
Welcome to the Colonel John Haslet Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR)!
The DAR was founded in 1890 to promote historic preservation, education, and patriotism. The Colonel John Haslet Chapter honors Haslet, commander of the first regiment of the Kent County Militia during the Revolutionary War. Our chapter motto is Today is Yesterday’s History and Tomorrow’s Future. The Haslet Chapter was organized on January 14, 1897 and remains focused on serving our community by promoting patriotism, preserving history, and securing a better future for our children.
