Governor Carney to Lift Delaware Mask Mandate Effective May 21 - State of Delaware News WILMINGTON, Del. – Governor John Carney on Friday announced that – effective May 21 – the State of Delaware will lift its requirement that Delawareans and visitors must wear face coverings anytime they are indoors with others outside their household.

Delawareans can shop together, attend sporting events and gather in small groups at home.

-But a family of more than 6 (4 adults max + 2 kids) cannot dine together.
-More than 2 friends cannot sit down to happy hour at a favorite local bar.
-MD is open at 100%, PA at 75% - yet Delaware remains stuck at 50%.

It's time to reopen restaurants and let families safely dine together.
