What is working in perinatal mental health care? Where are families facing barriers? What services, resources, and workforce supports are still needed?
Share your perspective through Delaware’s statewide Perinatal Mental Health Assessment. We want to hear from professionals, advocates, community partners, and people with relevant lived experience from across New Castle, Kent, and Sussex counties.
The survey takes approximately 10–20 minutes and is open through August 14:

Wellness is not only about exercise, nutrition or productivity. Feeling connected and supported is also an important part of our mental and emotional well-being.
A small check-in can make a meaningful difference:
Send a message to someone you have been thinking about
Invite a friend or family member to take a walk
Ask someone how they are doing—and make time to listen
Reach out when you need support yourself
We do not always know what someone else may be carrying. This National Wellness Month, let’s remember that connection can be a form of care.
Who could you check in with today?

August is National Wellness Month—a reminder that wellness does not have to mean making major changes all at once.
Small, consistent actions can support our mental and emotional well-being:
Taking a short break during a stressful day
Spending time outside
Connecting with someone we trust
Maintaining sleep and meal routines
Asking for help when we need it
Throughout August, the Delaware Behavioral Health Consortium will share resources and reminders focused on wellness for children, families, professionals and communities across Delaware.
Share with us… what is one small thing that helps you feel more grounded?

Today, on World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, we recognize that human trafficking can affect anyone.
Behavioral health professionals, educators, healthcare providers, first responders, and neighbors all play a role in recognizing warning signs, supporting survivors, and helping build communities.

Behavioral health support isn’t one size fits all and no one should have to navigate it alone. 🤍We are here to connect you to available resources.
Strong communities create stronger behavioral health outcomes.
The BHC’s Communities of Care Working Group is focused on strengthening the local organizations, partnerships, and resources that help individuals and families thrive before they reach a crisis.
One way we’re putting that commitment into action is through our Community Mini-Grant Program, which supports community-led events and initiatives that promote behavioral health awareness, education, prevention, and connection across Delaware.
From neighborhood organizations to nonprofits and local leaders, meaningful changes start in our communities, and we are proud to support those doing the work every day.

We applaud this awesome collaboration with our hospitals and the Delaware Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health - it was wonderful to hear about the hard work of so many, especially Dr. Greg Wanner and Dr. Rob Rosenbaum in bringing this plan to emergency departments across Delaware to help those suffering with opioid use disorder.

Prevention starts long before a crisis.
Behavioral health prevention means building the skills, connections, and supports that help people stay mentally and emotionally well. Whether it's managing stress, reaching out to a trusted friend, practicing self-care, or seeking support early, small steps can make a big difference.
If you or someone you know could use support, you don't have to wait until things feel overwhelming. Help Is Here Delaware connects Delawareans with behavioral health resources, treatment, and support services.
