Over the past week, three members successfully completed a Confined Space Technical Rescue course hosted by IAFF, while five members participated in an Advanced Vehicle Extrication class hosted by

Specialized training such as these courses enhances our department’s capabilities and ensures we continue to provide the highest level of service to the public.

The Dover Fire Department is proud to announce the 2025 Firefighter of the Year was awarded to Firefighter Jeff Jozowski. Firefighter Jozowski has become an integral part of the department and constantly puts in the work to set a great example for others. Congratulations Jeff!

Our members are working alongside the Dover DPW and Dover Water Commission to clear snow from fire hydrants throughout the town. A properly cleared hydrant can save precious time in an emergency so please clear the hydrant closest to your home if you are able!

That time of year is here! Bring new, unwrapped toys to the Dover Firehouse for donation.

We are proud to have had members from Dover FMBA 60 participate in the Tunnel to Towers 5K this morning.

“The event symbolizes Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers and pays homage to the 343 FDNY firefighters, law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001.”

Dover FMBA Local 60 members took home a first place trophy on Monday at the NJFMBA Cooked and Uncorked Competition. Locals throughout the state compete to create the best dish in different categories and Dover’s team won best dessert for their pumpkin spice cheesecake paired with a smoked cinnamon old fashioned. Great job guys!
