I believe Drake said it best when he proclaimed “Nice for what?” I put away being nice years ago. It no longer serves me. Instead, I focus on kindness in my daily interactions with others. 🌻

“I am no longer committed to changing the minds of people who are committed to misunderstanding me. Convincing people to see me as I am is not the best use of my energy.” 🌸🌺

Dormancy does not 🟰 death! 🌸🌺
During the height of the pandemic, my plants offered a source of comfort during uncertain times. Over this period, I became fascinated with the orchid. With excitement, I would bring each orchid plant home and admire the beauty of the flowers (I’ve had many, ask my husband…lol).

Then, after the flowers fell off, I would assume that the plant was dead and throw it away. Big mistake, I was missing the important lesson that even though the orchid appeared dead on the outside, it would bloom again. The orchid was in a dormant phase of its life cycle. With patience and persistence, I learned to water my plant even when it looked hopeless only to find that after a few months, new flowers would appear.

Now, I keep orchids all around my office and in my home as a reminder that even when a situation in life appears dead and hopeless, it can bloom again with patience, care, and prayer! 🌸🌺
