When local leaders sit down together, good things happen. Chairman Shoupe, Commissioner Adams, and Commissioner Ivey joined Houston County's municipal leaders tonight at The Crossing at Big Creek — continuing months of informal collaboration between local leaders tackling common challenges together.

We are saddened to learn of the passing of former Ashford Mayor Mrs. Carole Barfield. She served her community with grace, and it was an honor to work alongside her. She will be missed.
