We are excited to announce that our feral cat program is returning!

As many of you know, Dr. Caroline is currently returning from maternity leave on a part-time basis. Because of this, we are unable to guarantee same-day surgery for feral cats at this time.

Feral cats may be required to stay overnight and have surgery the following day depending on our doctor's availability and surgical schedule.

Please keep this in mind when trapping and making transportation arrangements.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to bring this important program back to the community while ensuring every cat receives safe, quality care.

$50 covers Spay/Neuter, Rabies, and Transport
Limit 2 pets per household per calendar year, must provide an Alabama Medicaid Card and ID/DL at time of booking.

River (now Maple) was adopted from us 1 year ago as a small puppy (1st photo). She has now moved to Texas and has a best friend, Grace, who was also adopted! They both are doing great and love to play together!! River is living her best life and loving her home!! Thank you to her family for giving her a great life!! ❤️❤️

Kittens, kittens & more kittens!! We are overwhelmed with kittens! These are just a few of the over 30 very young kittens we have taken in. We do have some that are at the age where they are ready to be spayed/neutered and available for adoption. Many are still too young.
If you have thought about adopting a cat or kitten now is the time! Please come see us! We have some great adult cats available as well!
We are truly doing everything we can but we have had MANY people showing up at our shelter with kittens. We are a private rescue, We do not euthanize for space. Once we take in an animal it is with us until adopted, however long that takes! It truly breaks our heart to have to say no but we are going to be forced to put an intake hold on kittens. We simply do not have the space and a place to put them. We cannot take in more than we can appropriately care for and we are at that point now. If you find kittens please watch and see if there is a mother cat around. Sometimes the mom is just off searching for food and will be back. The kittens are much better off left for the mom to care for them. Very young kittens have no immunity and it is very difficult to keep them healthy in a shelter environment. This kitten season is a tough one and we are just overwhelmed. PLEASE get you cats spayed and neutered!! Please adopt!

A little update on our precious Peggy: Peggy is in foster care during her heartworm treatment and recovery and we are pleased to report that she is living her best life! Thank you so much to her wonderful foster mom for taking such great care of her and giving her this opportunity ❤️

We have a group of board members and volunteers who do pet assisted therapy. You may remember Lulu who was Grand Marshall of the Mardi Gras Pet Parade! Lulu is one of our pet assisted therapy dogs. We recently made a visit to Grand South Senior Living! It was such a blessing to be able to visit those sweet seniors. One of the hardest things for seniors if they have to go in to an assisted living is not having pets. They miss that bond they had with their pets. We are glad we were able to fill a little of that void and bring a smile to their faces!! ❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️🐾❤️
