Quick tech tip: use a password manager.
If you’re still reusing passwords, it’s one of the easiest ways for your accounts to get compromised.
A password manager fixes that.
It creates strong, unique passwords for every account and stores them securely so you don’t have to remember them.
No more:
❌ “Password123”
❌ Sticky notes
❌ Reusing the same login everywhere
If you’re not using a password manager yet, here are a few good options:
- 1Password
- Bitwarden
- Dashlane
It’s a simple change that can make a big difference.
AI is powerful, but it still needs boundaries.
More teams are starting to use AI in their day-to-day work.
That’s not a bad thing if it’s used the right way.
But without a few simple guardrails, it’s easy for things to slip:
🚩 Content going out without review
🚩 Sensitive information being shared
🚩 Tools being used without anyone really knowing
It doesn’t take much to avoid it:
Decide which AI tools are approved in your company
Make sure anything client-facing gets reviewed
Be clear about what should never be entered
AI can save time...but it still needs structure.
👉 A few simple rules now can prevent bigger issues later.
As your business grows, things naturally get busier.
More work.
More moving parts.
More to keep up with.
That’s normal.
What’s not normal is when your systems start making it harder.
Things taking longer than they should.
Small issues happening more often.
Your team working around problems instead of moving forward.
Growth comes with pressure…but your IT shouldn’t be part of it
IT should just work.
You shouldn’t have to:
Restart things constantly
Wait for systems to load
Deal with the same issue twice
But for many businesses, that’s normal.
It doesn’t have to be.
If this sounds familiar, it may be time to rethink your IT.
Your email might be hiding messages from you.
If someone gets access to your email, they don’t always lock you out.
Sometimes they create inbox rules that automatically:
Move emails
Mark them as read
Forward them somewhere else
So, things like invoices or password resets never show up.
Quick Fix:
Go to your email Settings → Rules (or Filters)
Look for anything you didn’t create
Delete suspicious rules
Change your password and turn on multi-factor authentication
We’ve all heard some version of these before 😅
And to be fair, sometimes that is part of the process.
But when your business is on the line, you need more than guesses, delays and “let’s see what happens.”
You need clear answers, real solutions and someone who gets to the root of the problem.

Nick Saban won 7 national championships at University of Alabama football and never threw a pass, never carried the ball, and never made a tackle.
I heard him speak recently to a room full of business leaders, and it has stuck with me.
He could have stayed in the game. He could have taken over when things got tight. He could have said, “I will just do it myself.” Most of us have done exactly that. Head down, hands on everything, and the team we meant to build never quite gets built.
Saban chose a different path. He stepped back, trusted people, and developed them even when they were not perfect. Then, when they were ready, he let them carry the ball.
There are two types of work. Deliverables are what gets done today. Multipliers are what make everything better tomorrow. Most of us stay stuck in deliverables because they are loud and immediate. Multipliers are quieter, slower, and harder to measure, but they are where real growth happens.
So here is the hard question. When you step in and just handle it, are you helping your business or holding it back? Are you solving a problem, or taking an opportunity away from someone who needed to grow?
Football forces leaders to stay off the field. Business does not. We can always jump back in. The real question is whether we should.
Twenty years into running a business, this hit me hard. Saban did not win because he did everything. He won because he built people who could.
His closing prayer said it best. Help me be the best person I can be, and help me help others be the best they can be.
Seven titles. He never carried the ball.
If your inbox has 8,000 unread emails, we’re not judging.
But here’s a 5-minute fix:
✔ Use “Rules” in Outlook or Gmail
(Automatically sort newsletters into folders.)
✔ Use “Unsubscribe” (yes, it works).
✔ Block 2 daily email check times instead of reacting constantly.
Sometimes a reboot works. But when that's your IT provider's answer to EVERYTHING?
That's not support. That's a Band-Aid on a bullet wound.
Real IT strategy means:
→ Proactive monitoring that catches issues before they crash
→ Root cause analysis, not just quick fixes
→ Systems designed for reliability, not constant firefighting
Your business can't afford downtime every time something hiccups.
If your current IT provider's playbook stops at "reboot and pray," it might be time for a conversation about what proactive support actually looks like.
How many browser tabs do you have open right now?
If it’s more than 15, let’s change that.
Here’s a simple fix:
✔ Use Tab Groups (Chrome & Edge)
Right-click a tab → “Add tab to new group.”
You can label them: “Accounting,” “Marketing,” “HR,” etc.
✔ Use OneTab (Free Extension)
It collapses all open tabs into one clean list you can restore later.
✔ Bookmark folders for repeat workflows.
Your brain shouldn’t be your tab management system.
