All Rebecca knew was that there had been an incident between her disabled, non-verbal daughter and a teacher, and that her daughter was scared and covered in bruises. Hay-Mac teacher charged with assault and battery on intellectually disabled student - The New Bedford Light 04/07/2025

I’m proud to represent this family in their search for justice for their daughter. Children with disabilities are among the most vulnerable members of our society and deserve a voice. We are grateful for the New Bedford Police and the one teacher’s aid (out of four adults) who spoke up for this non-verbal child.

I have handled many cases for victims of assault and battery and sexual assault. These victims are always among the most vulnerable and often would have stayed hidden without someone being brave enough to speak out.
