Firefighter/Medic of the Week: MALCOLM WRIGHT

Malcolm joined the department in 1986 and is still working with our members as a mentor and trainer. Previously serving on our executive board, he helped pave the way for new and advanced techniques - most of which we still use today!

Malcolm met his wife through the department so she is the best person he ever has ever helped practice rescue, he hates fire and medical scenes in movies because they are never as realistic, and saving the day is a natural talent that seems to get better with time.

This week’s Firefighter/Medic of the Week is MADDISON SWIFT!

Maddison has been on the department since 2023 and serves as a medic on the EMS side of the department. Maddison‘s commitment to run on calls and step in where needed makes her a pivotal part of our team and someone we can always count on.

Maddison‘s favorite color is black (hello spooky season), she is a certified Esthetician with her own business, and getting to help people is her favorite part of volunteering!

On this week's game of Firefighter/Medic of the week, we're highlighting another one of our amazing members!

Unfortunately, no community members guessed the correct responder, but they got it in the family!

This week's Firefighter/Medic of the Week is...... JJ LARSON!

JJ has been with the department since 2020 and currently serves as our Rescue Squad Director, helping to oversee and train the EMS side of operations. He is a mechanic by day, runs on EMS calls at night, and pulls double duty as a firefighter making him a jack of all trades!

Driving any of the equipment is his favorite part of the job, he hasn't ever practiced his hero walk - though he has a good one, and if you ever want to impress him, confidence and knowledge rank high in his books!

Firefighter of the Week: KEVIN HARDIN

Kevin has been with the department since 2022 and is currently serving as our Assistant Fire Chief. His positive attitude and willingness to step in where needed has made Kevin an integral part of our team.

The weirdest thing he has ever had to rescue is the concrete stopping block behind Tanker 5 - multiple times, he races to get suited up to drive the trucks first, and still smiles when we remind him that he's a real life hero!
