The YMCA and Dickson City Council are working hard to make the dream of a pool and swim team a reality in Dickson! Our mayor and city council MUST hear from us and know that we continue to support this dream! Please email or call your city council member. City Council

Good evening Riptides,
With the closing and demolition of the pool at Buckner Park the Riptides non-profit has been dissolved. According to our by-laws any balance in the account is to be donated to a non-profit with similar goals. With that in mind, a donation of the remaining funds has been made to the Dickson County YMCA. We hope this donation will get us closer to a new community pool and continuation of a summer swim team!

First, a big thank you to DCHS for letting us use the pool this summer!!! Second, if any Riptides members from summer 2022 would like to do some informal lap swimming this summer let us know. Please email [email protected] for more information.

Tomorrow night is the night! City council meeting, 7 pm at City Hall on Walnut St. Come show your support! We are 4th on the agenda.

Buckner Pool will not be opening this summer. With no place to swim, we must cancel the season.

Riptides Swim Team will pay the fee for the lifeguard training for anyone who will commit to lifeguarding a majority of our practices and meets. If interested, please send an email to [email protected] for more details.
