Well-maintained, air-conditioned, ready-to-fly M35 Bonanza. Same owner since 2007. Hangared. The owner developed the air conditioning system and had it tested and approved by the FAA as an STC. This airplane was the original testbed for the system and has been impeccably maintained and tested by test pilots and the FAA. What if you could spend 40 hrs of real world XC training in all weather, airspace, and terrain instead of just practicing holds and unusual attitudes?

I help plane owners get their instrument rating and master IFR in their airplane. Training is remote using home flight simulator until proficient. Then we spend 10 days in your airplane flying real coast to coast cross country in IMC, all weather, terrain, airspace, and with passengers… just like you will in your missions.

The lens through which you view your personal aviation challenges is what will forever unlock your dreams to advanced proficiency like the professional pilots.

Pilots can use a flight simulator to become familiar with the airport layout, taxiways, runways, and parking areas of a new airport. This can help them learn the procedures and operational aspects of the airport before they fly there in real life. 11/13/2025

If you think that a home flight simulator is a waste of time, too much like a 'video game', not helpful where it counts... you are wrong, sir.

I even use home flight simulators remotely to train clients for instrument ratings. We train together on the simulator remotely (and with self-study video lessons, all sim-based)

Home flight simulation is the bridge between meaningful instrument training that directly translates to your real-world flying, and becoming a competent, confident, IFR pilot with only 10 days in the airplane.

Pilots can use a flight simulator to become familiar with the airport layout, taxiways, runways, and parking areas of a new airport. This can help them learn the procedures and operational aspects of the airport before they fly there in real life.

This week only, I am offering one airplane owner (must be instrument rated) the opportunity to do a day or two of real IMC flying in winter weather with me as your mentor. We will learn all about icing, how to recognize and avoid, how to plan around unflyable areas, and how to extract the maximum out of plane and pilot when conditions are less than optimal. Contact info at the bottom of my website: tobyricecfi.com

GET READY - First taste of winter arrives SUNDAY->MONDAY 🥶
Arctic air will surge out of Canada, which could lead to temperatures 30 degrees below average in the Ohio Valley and East Coast!

You don’t have a confidence problem.
You have a clarity problem.
A systems problem.
A “no one ever taught me how to think like a pilot” problem.

You’re not afraid of flying.
You’re afraid of something going wrong while you’re in control—
and not knowing what to do to keep your family alive.

That’s not weakness.
That’s reality.
Because checkride training doesn’t prepare you for real-world flying.

You’ve never been taught how to visualize a mission start to finish.
How to see the risks before they happen.
How to make sound decisions under pressure.
How to keep flying when the plan falls apart.

So instead of walking up to your airplane with confidence,
you stall out mentally.
You question yourself.
You spiral in your own head before you even leave the ground.

That’s not how a Captain flies.

My clients train differently.
We build systems for Planning.
Ex*****on.
Diversion.
They know exactly what to look for, what to ask, and how to act—
because we train for what happens when the plan breaks.

This isn’t “confidence.”
It’s command.

I’m a private jet captain and master CFI.
I only take 1–2 serious owner-pilots per month.
Every spot is full until May.

DM me “OWNER”
if you’re done flying with doubt
and ready to lead every flight with structure, clarity, and control.

You’ve run the numbers.

You’ve found the airplane.

Now you’re staring down the one part you can’t afford to get wrong:

Your training.

You’ve talked to instructors…

You’ve looked at schools…

But none of it feels right.

Because you don’t want another time-builder.

You want a mentor.

Someone who understands what’s really at stake.

You’re not chasing a certificate.

You’re building a skillset that protects your family.

You’re investing in clarity, capability, and control
before you ever leave the ground.

I work with owner-pilots who feel the weight of that mission.

Guys who don’t want fluff.
Guys who want this done right—the first time.

I can only take 1–2 clients a month.

No new openings until May.

PVT. INST. Proficiency. Mentor Pilot.

No Bull. Write a check. Get it done right, the first time.

DM “OWNER” if you want the only training
that matches the seriousness of what you’re about to do.

Let’s see if we’re a fit.

If you’re still second-guessing your ability to fly your family safely, something’s wrong—and you know it.

You don’t need more hours.
You need real training.
Structured. Precise. No BS.

I work with serious owner-pilots only.
Private. Instrument. Rusty Pilot Reset.
Write the check. Get it done right—the first time.

I only take 1–2 clients per month.
All spots are booked until May 2025.

DM me “OWNER” and I’ll see if I can help.
