The MSRC is offering an exciting funding opportunity for public transit agencies within the South Coast Air Quality Management District looking to accelerate their transition to a zero-emission fleet. The MSRC’s new Zero-Emission Transit Bus Incentive Program has up to $25 million available to help buy-down the cost of new electric and hydrogen fuel cell buses and chargers.

On April 2, there is a voluntary applicant webinar via zoom. The submission period opens May 1 and closes June 30.

Just in time for the holidays, the MSRC's winter "Clean Air Roadmap" e-news is here! It has three great articles – highlights from Chair Larry McCallon’s participation in the City of Fontana’s ribbon cutting event for the San Sevaine Trail, a spotlight on the MSRC’s support of the four County Transportation Commission’s clean transportation efforts in preparation of the Olympics and other world-renowned events, and a continuing look at “35 MSRC Projects for 35 Years,” to celebrate the MSRC’s 35th anniversary.

Last week, MSRC Chair Larry McCallon joined Fontana Mayor Acquanetta Warren and other city officials to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for the opening of the San Sevaine Trail. The MSRC provided $500,000 to extend the connectivity of the trail, as well as to install safety features like solar lights and chain link fencing along the bikeway. The Trail now connects the Cities of Fontana and Rancho Cucamonga by making walking and biking safer and more accessible for residents. By making alternative ways of getting around town like biking and walking easier and more attractive for people, it gets them out of their cars, which reduces vehicle emissions, helping to improve air quality for everyone.

Zero-Emissions Showcase + Ride & Drive : Anaheim, CA June 18, 2025 – Anaheim, CA: The California Air Resources Board (CARB) and CALSTART are hosting a Zero-Emissions Showcase + Ride & Drive featuring medium- and heavy-duty trucks (Class 2b-8), heavy-duty off-road equipment, school and transit buses, and commercial vans.

The first day of Spring brings the latest edition of the MSRC's e-newsletter "Clean Air Roadmap." Read all about the MSRC's partnership with the San Pedro Bay Ports to deliver 150+ new electric truck charging stations and learn about Voltu Motor's pilot of 10 Class 3 electric work trucks with the City of Riverside.
