Today Karpagam, Priya and I honored my dad’s life by serving lunch to the homeless people in Wilmington, DE. A year ago(actually a year and 7 days ) my dad passed away and we thought rather than observe the anniversary by religious rites we would help our less privileged brothers and sisters.
With help from Tennis to a Future members, Minju Kim, Coco Kambayashi, Olivia Dodge and Chase Dautrich and friends of Tennis to a Future, Larry Kaplan, Sridhar Santhanam, Nathan, Kala, Kashyap, Venkat, Anusha, GS,and Veni we served lunch to over 200 homeless people. supporters
We want to thank Jay Muthukamatchi, Ron Davis, Premier Charities and Charity Crossing for allowing us this opportunity. Thanks guys. ,

On December 12, 2016 Tennis To a Future held a fundraiser at the JKST Gulph Mills Tennis club to help the victims of the massive floods that devastated Chennai and other parts of Tamil Nadu, India. Through the generosity of the members of Gulph Mills and the local tamil tennis enthusiasts we collected a little over $7000 and donated it to the Tamil Association of Greater Delaware Valley's(TAGDV) Flood Relief Funds.
TAGDV constructed 5 homes for families that lost their previous homes(huts), and their primary bread winners(husband's/father's). The houses were recently completed and the survivors of these families received the keys to the houses on December 29, 2016. Tennis to a Future co-founders, Arvind and Priya Aravindhan were visiting India on personal business and participated in the key giving ceremony. Trees were planted to commemorate the event.
The recipients of these homes were so touched by our generosity and willingness to help them. We expressed that it was indeed our honor to be able to help fellow human beings at a time of need. Along with these 5 homes TAGDV also built a wall for Christ Faith Home for children that was destroyed by the floods.
