Acid burn, foxing, tape damage, losses, and rippling made this piece fragile and at risk.

We carefully removed the tape and residue, reduced stains, deacidified the paper, mended tears, filled losses, and gently pressed it back into shape. 📄🖌️

This severely damaged piece arrived mounted to linen and stretcher with acid burn, foxing, heavy rippling, multiple tears, a hole, and liquid staining.

It was carefully removed, cleaned, deacidified, treated for mold, and stabilized with tear mending, archival mounting, pressing, and retouching. 🧼✨
