Millions of people protested Trump’s authoritarian agenda on No Kings Day in June.

On October 18th, I urge you to hit the streets again for No Kings Day 2.0.

Now you may be thinking, “What will another protest do?”

Donald Trump is on the ropes. Americans hate his Big Ugly Bill. They oppose his cruel deportations and his attacks on free speech. They don’t want him sending troops into American cities. The ghost of Jeffrey Epstein continues to haunt him.

Every single day the groundswell of opposition to Trump and his Republican lackeys grows — and peaceful mass mobilizations like No Kings Day 2.0 become even more important.

As we resist Trump’s tyranny through protest, America gains in solidarity. As we gain solidarity, we feel more courageous. As we feel courageous and stand up to Trump, we weaken him and his regime. As we weaken Trump and his regime, we have less to fear.

By showing up in large numbers, we tell Trump that we won’t abide by his agenda — and that we’re not going anywhere.

We also send a message to Democrats, universities, the media, and other public institutions… Stand up to Trump! Fight back. Do not capitulate to a tyrant.

Donald Trump thinks he’s all powerful. It’s up to us to remind him on October 18th that he’s not.

Protests are happening everywhere, from big cities to rural communities. I urge you to find an event near you.

Let’s show Trump and his cronies once again that in America, we don’t do kings.

The people have the power.

"I received a notification that my DoorDash order had been delivered, so I opened the door, but there was no food in sight. However, I noticed a small white car and an elderly gentleman getting out with a cane.

In my flustered state, I sprinted to the car to retrieve my food, trying to wrap my head around the fact that an elderly man with a cane was delivering for DoorDash. I quickly ran back inside to drop off my food and grabbed some cash from my purse, waving my arms to signal him not to leave.

I then took to Facebook to search for "Dale, who drives for DoorDash and delivered our Tacos 4 Life this afternoon." Fortunately, Facebook worked its magic!

I am raising money to help Dale live comfortably instead of working tirelessly delivering food. Once we sit down to set up a GoFundMe, Dale will be the beneficiary."

If you guessed that all these things could start a wildfire, you’re correct!

Over 84% of wildfires are started by people. Follow these tips to prevent them:

• Dispose of smoking materials properly. Use deep, sturdy ashtrays and douse cigarette and cigar butts with water before disposal.
• Never leave campfires unattended. Fully extinguish fires by reducing wood logs or burned material to ash and saturating the remaining ashes with water.
• Create a defensible space around your home by clearing dry vegetation and leaves from around your home, roof and gutters.
• Be cautious with fireworks. Choose safe locations away from buildings and trees, and keep a supply or fire extinguisher on hand. Consider canceling fireworks if there’s a drought.

"I am Jeff Metcalf. My son, Austin Metcalf, was tragically stabbed today at a school track meet. They were not able to save him. He was a bright young man with a great future ahead of him. He was a leader of men. His smile would light up the room. His passion for football was unbelievable. Voted team MVP this past season and carried a 4.0 GPA. He was looking forward to taking his game to the next level. His commitment, dedication, leadership, and sheer grit made him rise to the level of success that he desired. His twin brother, Hunter, played beside him. We will all remember him for the way he impacted others' lives. I love you forever, son. It's not goodbye, it's see you later. God will take care of us till we meet again. RIP. Love, Dad"
