We we’re privileged to host the Computer Science for Detroit (CSforDetroit) Out-of-School Time (OST) Collective gathering yesterday with great minds, leaders and organizations focusing on further Detroit’s youth education in and out of school. Even more, we got to meet Angelica Williams, City of Detroit’s Program Coordinator in the Youth Affairs Office. It’s amazing what’s happening in the city and how we can advanced it to higher education this summer and during the school year.

We were excited for our members to learn more about Accelerate4KIDS Foundation and how we impact the youth with digital literacy and computing. We have enjoyed it tremendously in the last 10 years and we hope to continue for the next decade.

Checkout our community events including Tennis 101 at Clark Park Detroit every Friday’s and our annual Summer the D Camp in July on the campus of the University of Detroit Mercy. So many opportunities for our community and youth to focus on healthy lifestyle, technology and community 🎾🤖👥

Our community is stronger because of people who care about our mission and our kids. At last weekend’s Tech 4 Tomorrow Community Event we presented two Accelerate4KIDS Service Awards to honor that dedication. Thank you, Chris Anthes and Jeff Herbstman, for years of tutoring, coaching, teaching, and supporting our young people 🧡 We appreciate you more than words can say 🫶🏼
