DOERS SERIES Vol. 3 | Cameron Rolka

Some people build with wood. Some with steel. Cameron builds with oysters.

We spent the morning with chef and co-owner of Umbo, Cameron Rolka, talking about craft, patience, and why Michigan has an oyster culture more people should know about.

From how oysters are farmed and shucked to what to look for when ordering, this conversation is for anyone who appreciates people who take pride in what they do.

That’s what the Doers Series is all about.

Watch the full feature on YouTube (link in bio), then go grab some oysters at Umbo with Cameron and his wife, Sarah aka Chef Welch (yes… that Chef Welch Bravo Top Chef finalist😉).

Ours are made for people who never really stop doing.

Whether you’re splitting wood, fixing bikes, opening the café, or grabbing a beer after a long day, a good flannel should be the easiest decision you make.

Built to be worn. Better with time.

For the ones who stay out a little longer

Some clothes are made to be looked at.
Others are made to be lived in.

Field tested. Built for the long haul.

Made close to home.

Cut and sewn in Detroit with our friends in Corktown.

Built the way we like things…simple, durable, and made with intention.

Home of rugged luxury.

Most people see the miles, the race days, and the podium shots (lookin at you, ).
What they don’t always see is the work in between—early mornings, garage floors, busted knuckles, and the details that make the ride even possible.

Markus Poulsen is the kind of guy who doesn’t do anything halfway.

Originally from Denmark, Markus made the move to Indiana in 2017 to play soccer at the University of Southern Indiana—a transition that says a lot about his grit before you even get to the bike. Fast forward to last March, he picked up his first gravel bike… and hasn’t looked back since.

What started as curiosity turned into obsession real quick. The kind where you chase miles, not medals (though we have a feeling both are coming).

We’re fired up to have Markus riding with the MuskOx herd at this year’s Barry Roubaix. He’s putting in the work, showing up with intention, and we’re betting on a seriously strong performance.

Let’s go, Markus!! 🚴 🐂

Andy is the kind of guy who shows up.

A husband, a dad of three, and someone who feels most at home outside, whether that’s on a stretch of gravel road or a beach day with his family. For Andy, riding isn’t about noise or numbers. It’s about the quiet. The miles. The simple act of pushing forward.

That’s exactly why he stood out to us.

As one of two riders we’re backing for the Barry Roubaix, Andy represents what MuskOx is all about — putting in the work, getting outside, and doing it for the right reasons.

We’re proud to support him this year. Looking forward to seeing him out there putting in the miles. LET’S GO ANDY!!
