COUNT TIME/ Detroit Chapter

Count Time is comprised of formerly incarcerated people and allies who are working to reduce mass incarceration and its impact on our communities in Michigan- and nationwide. Mission

To organize, mobilize, and support formerly incarcerated people and their families to advocate for political and social changes that will reduce racial profiling and incarceration, and to educate the community about the successes and contributions of the formerly incarcerated in order to enhance their capacity to thrive. Vision

To have the power to impact the political process so that our communities are safe and vibrant, with opportunities and support for people who have been incarcerated in prison to be fully restored. Goals

Reduce prison incarceration by 50% by 2020. Increase successful integration for people returning to their communities by 50%, 10,000 by 2020
Increase Count Time Membership Supporters to 10,000 by 2020.
