For years, Display Group has been proud to support one of Detroit's most beloved institutions. This year we stepped up as the Presenting Sponsor of the Pewabic House & Garden Show, June 4-7 at Pewabic Pottery on East Jefferson.
Now in its 36th year, the House & Garden Show is Pewabic's biggest fundraiser, supporting over 122 years of ceramic artistry and making in Detroit.
Our team provided furniture, custom shelving, faux hedges, and lighting throughout the event space, helping set the scene for a weekend that draws ceramic artists from across North America, thousands of guests, and a community that genuinely cares about keeping this place going.
Pewabic is a Detroit original. Happy to do our part. A special shout-out to Amanda from Pewabic for creating the memorable dandelions decor!

Congratulations to Cranbrook Schools on the success of the third annual Window to the World gala, raising more than $1.2 million in support of students, faculty, and campus initiatives. The energy, creativity, and community impact throughout the evening were truly inspiring.
A big thank you to Tola Events for bringing Display Group in to help bring this immersive experience to life at The Department at Hudson's in Detroit.
Our team was proud to provide the full AV experience along with custom décor and fabrication throughout the event, including silent auction environments, branded bar wraps, custom displays, and experiential event elements inspired by the historic Hudson’s department store concept.
These are the kinds of projects that we love being part of: immersive environments that create connection, storytelling, and impact.

Today Display Group opened the doors to some of our most important visitors yet.
In honor of National Bring Your Child to Work Day, the facility was taken over by a crew considerably shorter than our usual staff, along with a few siblings who came along for the ride and at least one dog who had absolutely no complaints about the arrangement.
Photo ops in Dock A, B, and C. The Studio. A gumball machine on the second floor. Tours of the building. And pizza at noon, which was honestly the highlight for most attendees regardless of age or species.
There is something pretty great about watching kids walk through a space full of giant props, scenic builds, and production gear and seeing it all through their eyes. This place looks different when you're four feet tall and everything is enormous. The dogs had a similar reaction.
Thanks to everyone who brought their little ones, their siblings, and their four-legged plus-ones today. The building has never had better energy.
Now if someone could make sure all the gumballs are accounted for, that would be great.

Happy National Beer Day! 🍺
Most people mark the occasion and move on. Rick Portwood built a shrine.
Display Group's founder has been collecting rare vintage beer cans since he was a kid, and before you ask, yes, that wall is exactly what it looks like. Hundreds of cans, meticulously displayed, and probably better organized than most of our project timelines.
The origin story: as a pre-teen, Rick dragged his dad to beer stores, flea markets, and garage sales hunting for the oldest and rarest cans they could find, including the highly coveted cone-tops. It was a full operation. A two-man crew with adult supervision and a very specific shopping list.
Rick's collection is still standing. Still growing. And still the first thing clients notice when they walk into his office.
We'd say crack one open to celebrate, but we're going to go ahead and wait until after 5 for that. For now, just take a moment to appreciate the cans.
Cheers, Rick. 🍻

Every spring, our Decor Team transforms their space with flowers, greenery, custom arrangements, and baskets overflowing with blooms. It's one of our favorite times of year to walk through that space.
This year, they had a little extra help.
We're not going to say who's inside the Easter Bunny costume. But we will say that Brieanna Giordano has been unusually quiet this week and nobody can find her.
To our clients, partners, and friends, wishing you a happy Easter and a great start to spring. If your events are anything like what our Decor team has been building lately, the season is off to a beautiful start.
