Having a provider agree with all of the things you believe are wrong with you is not good care. “Co-signing” the diagnosis to get it covered is not good care and drives medical care costs.

Hear me out, I do think educating yourself on potential issues/concerns (i.e using google) can be very helpful in advocating for yourself or others

In fact I think doing so before a meeting with your provider is important so that you can open a dialogue of discussion that will only lead to further education and answers

I’m sure you have heard “Don’t think your Google search is better than my medical degree”

It’s condescending and patriarchal. However, with that being said can be used as a tool to help better understand the symptoms and things that you’re experiencing so that you can come to an appropriate diagnosis and/or or plan of care.

I can help you decipher through the noise, even the Google searches so that you can have an effective conversation with your medical provider

💥 🤯 That people are STILL uninformed! Walking away from a medical office visit with no answer and more questions!!

It is the most frustrating situation for me!

When I have clients reach out after paying co pay after co pay for a system meant to serve them and they are getting no where with their medical providers I truly feel the frustration with them 😩

Putting a plan of action together for my clients to get what they need is my biggest flex.
