🚨 first show of 2026 is a benefit for one of our favorite historical spots in Detroit! please join us as we raise some funds to help aid this killer collective!
The Trumbullplex is a collective owned and operated micro-community located in the historic Woodbridge neighborhood of Detroit. Our goal is to combat the negative effects of gentrification in the city by providing accessible resources to locals, newcomers, and visitors, especially to support creativity, well-being, community building, & affordable housing. We are most well known for our donation based DIY gathering space, affectionately known as “The Theater” or just “Trumbullplex”. However, we accomplish our goals through a variety of projects, including the gathering space, green space, perpetually affordable housing collective, and more.

We believe in curating a space that prioritizes safety with an emphasis on consent culture; we don’t tolerate any form of disrespect, violence or discrimination. We are committed to restorative justice and open to facilitating conversations around any violations to our values that occur within our space.

How We Use Donations
This GoFundMe supports the Trumbullplex Micro-Community with our expenses in various ways, including:
Supplies & Materials
Property Maintenance & Restoration
Operational Fees
Utilities

2. IN PROGRESS - Gathering Space Electrical - $6453.40/6,500
Essential for safety at large gatherings.

3. Corner House Furnace - $0/4762
Essential to reinstate the housing collective
Ensures safety of the structure of the building over winter
We have been using this building as an artist work space for community members like Entente, Ruya

4. Gathering Space Garage Door - $0/2000
Largely expands space capacity when open (is broken shut)
Provides additional exit area
Will help to keep in heat in winter
