Approximately 9.5x12" gold framing the 8.5x11" digital print of my calligraphy. The Arabic one saying 'Subhanillah' is manually painted gold for that pop up, with the rest of the word, English version, and borders in printed white.

C H A P T E R | moving on

Tis but time to close this chapter. And not just a chapter, but one of all the times I withdrew from the world and simply created. Having a private studio allowed me to research on different techniques, find out what I'm good at and not so good at, build up my patience and gratefulness, take out my sad into creating, connect with talented artists and small business owners, and oh so much more. But the reality of being a small business owner has brought me to this decision of leaving this happy place and closing the business side of my talent.

So. I will have the studio open from the 14th (Sun) to 20th (Sat) from 11 am to 5 pm (except Friday). I will have all the products here for sale, so they do have to go to new homes! After that, I'm out and done.

F A V O R S | wood sign

This is approximately 17" x 26.5" wood sign of black frame and white background. The Quranic verse, 'then which of the favors of your Lord will you deny', is calligraphied by me and laser cut by . Painted in black to go with the overall look. It comes with two sawtooths on the back for easy hanging.

This verse is such an important reminder for us to be grateful for what we have, and to not take things for granted. A beautiful reminder to be added to your wall.

P E A C E | farmhouse sign

This is a 14" round farmhouse sign of gray frame and white background. Both Arabic (gold salaam) and English (gray peace) are woven into each other, emphasizing that a meaning is universal across languages. This sign is hangable with a maroonish brown leather strap, and makes a nice addition to your front door or your foyer hall.

As always, I gifted all my nieces and nephews their name canvases. And yes, I have a new nephew, now a 3 month old, Masha Allah 😍

This is a 12x12 canvas of colors that are inverted from his older brother's name canvas. The background is green with a creamy white name and surrounded by creamy white and gold borders. It is finished in satin varnish.

May Allah (SWT) bless my wittle chubster, Abdul-Hadi, with his Guidance upon His Deen with a heart, mind, and soul full of yaqeen, taqwa, and iman, Ameen. May he be amongst the true Muslims of his time in this world and next along with his brother, and may he be the coolness of his parents' eyes, Ameen.

A L H A M D U L I L L A H | texture

This is a 16x20 framed artwork that I applied a new technique to. And I'm allowed to say that I'm darn proud of how it turned out because I finally improved some if not much after a few attempts at textured Islamic calligraphy! There is a ton of space around the phrase so that the focus is on the phrase...despite the entire thing being white. The frame part was painted dark blue gray with bronze touch ups.

Texturing Islamic calligraphy isn't as easy as you think! Especially when you want the curves and lines to be as clean as possible. I'm not there yet but I will get there and it will become easier, in sha Allah.

I'm proud of it, Alhamdulillah.

T E X T U R E | magnetic canvas

A bunch of 4x4 magnetic canvas of mixed media, including textures. Twas a fun time making these! The process was therapeutic in that I got lost in time on each piece.

The last one says "ghuraba", which basically embodies what a Muslim should be. A mere stranger, a traveler, moving through life in this world as though one is on a journey rather than settling down. I grow to love this quality through the lessons of my life.
