Seven years ago for Detroit Homecoming, Mary Kramer said "Colleen, let's do the light show" and we caused a ruckus because suddenly there was life at Michigan Central again. We hosted a dinner in a building with no plumbing and no electricity with Lily Tomlin, Allee Willis, Al Kaline, Thomas Hearns, and 300 other Detroiters. I still remember Vittoria Katanski calling me to turn off the train station lights because all the cars stopping to take photos were making it hard to set up Tour de Troit!
