CHAG provides comprehensive HIV harm reduction, prevention and care services, including syringe exchange, an array of prevention and early intervention services to target those most at risk and offer rapid HIV and hepatitis testing and referral. The agency also offers an array of care services including medical case management and transportation.

February 7 is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NBHAAD), which was first observed in 1999. This observance is a day to acknowledge how HIV disproportionately affects Black people.
Black communities have made great progress in reducing HIV. Yet racism, discrimination, and mistrust in the healthcare system may affect whether Black people seek or receive HIV prevention services. These issues may also reduce the likelihood of engaging in HIV treatment and care. NBHAAD is an opportunity to increase HIV education, testing, community involvement, and treatment among Black communities.

Community Health Awareness Group is proud to announce the return of the Ryan White Funded Stigma Fighters Training of Trainers project, aimed at improving HIV health literacy and reducing stigma through education, skill-building, and empowerment. This innovative program seeks to leverage the latest prevention tools and legal advancements to foster positive perceptions of individuals living with HIV (ILWHIV) and their communities.
CHAG invites community members, healthcare professionals, and advocates to join this transformative program and be a part of the movement towards a stigma-free society. The program is centered on the use of Undetectable Equals Untransmittable (U=U) and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) as essential prevention tools.
“ Stigma Fighters Training is a status-neutral project designed to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools needed to combat HIV stigma and support healthier, more informed communities," said Darthanian Nichols, Training and Facilitation Coordinator. "By focusing on education and the latest prevention methods, we aim to dismantle misconceptions and foster acceptance."
